There is a lineage of historical cinema that, clinging to the most essential potential of film writing, aspires to transcend didacticism to Trading Paint embrace a corporeal, tactile dimension; a cinema that is more physical than fictional, where what “feels” is more important than what is “understood”. To this noble film current belong works as disparate as the war films of Sam Fuller, the Alan Clarke of ‘Elephant’, the docudramas of Paul Greengrass or films like ‘Zama’ by Lucrecia Martel or ‘Essential Killing’ by Jerzy Skolimowski, that there by 2010 he knew how to illuminate the shadows of the thick global geopolitics (from the tensions of the Middle East to Yankee imperialism) through a very refined survival thriller. The paradox of this current “essential cinema” is that, by turning its back on a certain expository clarity, it can offer an unusually incisive portrait of the reality shown: its extremely close look at the facts can blur the edges of the painting, but that does not it does more than reveal the core (human, psychological, ideological) of the explored conflict.
‘La noche de 12 años’, the new film by The Report Uruguayan filmmaker Álvaro Brechner (‘Mal día para pescar’, ‘Mr. Kaplan’), is located at the coordinates of this historical-sensory cinema. To account for the 12 years of incommunicado detention they suffered, from 1973 to 1985, at the hands of the military government of Uruguay, the dissidents Mauricio Rosencof (Chino Darín), Eleuterio Fernández Huidobro (Alfonso Tort) and José Mujica (Antonio de la Torre ) – the latter, future president of the country -, the film focuses on the private experiences of the characters without just leaving the different detention centers through which the protagonists passed – the few flashbacks are not among the film’s greatest achievements –
Based on the autobiographical book ‘Memories of the dungeon’, written by Rosencof and Fernández Huidobro, ‘The night of 12 years’ offers a suggestive formalistic Burn Out immersion in the experiences of the trio, an audiovisual display that refers to the work of Steve McQueen in the powerful’ Hunger ‘. In Brechner’s film, the trembling planes capture the uncertainty of the hostages, the detail planes of the bony and purple bodies reveal the inclemency of authoritarianism, the swaying subjective planes outline conditions at the limit of survival, and a long circular plane ( the first of the film), which is focused until it shows an episode of police brutality, puts into images the will of the film to settle accounts with a bloody historical episode.Searching Term : The Sound of Silence Full Watch The Sound of Silence Movie Streaming Online 2019, Watch The Sound of Silence Movie Streaming HD 1080p, Free The Sound of Silence Movie Streaming Online, Download The Sound of Silence Full Movie Streaming Online in HD-720p Video Quality , Where to Download The Sound of Silence Full Movie ?, The Sound of Silence Movie Include All Subtitles 2019.
